What SMAS, NFRC And CORC Accreditation Means

Three of the most important accreditations in UK roofing — what they actually verify, and why it matters to you.

5 min read

SMAS Worksafe, NFRC and CORC are the accreditations that separate a serious roofing contractor from a jobbing operator. All three require independent audit of your business, and all three are commonly required on main-contractor and public-sector tenders.

SMAS Worksafe

SSIP-recognised health & safety scheme widely accepted by main contractors. Audits your policies, procedures, training records and insurances every year.

NFRC

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors — the UK's largest roofing trade association, with membership contingent on trading history, financial standing and workmanship reviews.

CORC

The Confederation of Roofing Contractors — a further quality mark for independent roofing companies operating to high technical and customer-service standards.
